Peter J
“Coming Home”
Peter J’s first attempt at a rock epic is the centerpiece of this collection. “Coming Home” is a contemporary re-telling of the parable of the prodigal son. The protagonist of this modern tale finds his way around the globe as he freely samples life to the fullest. In the bitter end he finds himself washing dishes just to eat. He remembers his father and home and decides it would be better to be a laborer for his dad than do this. He goes toward his birthplace singing, “I’m coming home!”
Terri J’s fave in this bunch is “Angels.” The song presents a different look at the prophetic passages of Ezekiel 37. The prophet calls for the dead bones to live! The song echoes that call into today.
There are several acoustic tunes presented in this collection such as the whimsical “American Christians: Into The Nineties.” Pete pokes some pretty serious fun at the Body of Christ in the USA in this tune. There is also Pete's ode to the South Carolina coastline that he loves so much. “Sea Dream” paints an aural picture of the fantastic beauty surrounding those who are blessed to live in this wonderful place.
